An early morning crash took the lives of four Texas barely a mile north of the Oklahoma border.
Four Texans were killed in a head-on collision in Beaver County, Oklahoma. All four Texans were from Perryton. They were identified as Clemente Velez, Esther Espino Puentes, Griselda Lomas De Velez and Maria Ernesti Velez Mendoza. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated the crash and determined that Brett Edwards Philen veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into Velez' vehicle head-on. Philen also died in the crash.
