Emily Echols killed by suspected drunk driver on November 9, 2023, at about 6 p.m.
Joshua Okeith Fluellen Jr. was arrested for intoxication manslaughter for the death of Emily Echols. The crash happened in the 1200 block of SW Loop 286 in Paris, Texas. The crash involved an 18-wheeler and two passenger vehicles. Paris Police arrested Fluellen for intoxication manslaughter. TXDOT assisted with the closure of traffic in the area for hours. Fluellen is reportedly from Mount Pleasant. Another victim was transported to Paris Regional Health in critical condition. Additional charges may be filed.
