On February 24, 2024, around 1:00 a.m. a suspected drunk driver in Longview left the roadway on West Hope Drive and hit a pedestrian who died at a local hospital. Longview Police arrested Lantz Darensbourg for intoxication manslaughter. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
